Learning Content Optimization

Learning is not just dependent on the “What?” but also the “How?” Effective learning occurs when content is designed and delivered to provide the maximum effect to the learner that empowers and aligns the workforce while allowing the learner to perform productively in a rapidly changing environment. Effective learning stands at the heart of the learning ecosystem. However, most organizations still provide their employees with learning interventions that are outdated and ineffective.

Due to this, the training programs essentially become mundane and lifeless PowerPoint presentations with little to no value for the learner. The way to go about setting up effective learning is to develop custom eLearning solutions that can be relative and impactful to the learner's needs and desires for professional growth and development while also ensuring performance and productivity.

Learning content can be analyzed and designed to
align with the desired outcome into the following types:

  • sec2-img1

    Information-Based

Content is primarily designed to provide information and impart knowledge through various mediums. Courses created on this principle are known as “Inform Courses.”

  • sec2-img1

    Performance-Based

Content is primarily designed to build specific job-related skills/tasks that learners should learn or improve and the knowledge and skills that need to be developed or reinforced. Courses created on this principle are known as “Perform Courses.”

MRCC DESIGN STRATEGY & APPROACH

An effective learning pedagogy for the design and development of eLearning courses must include an optimum combination of objectives, content, learning activities, assessments, and models for knowledge retention and sustenance. At MRCC, we call this the “Comprehensive Learning Model.” The integrated training design blends the components of the model and focuses more on ensuring that the learner learns by doing; thereby feeling more focused and engaged with the training.

EFFECTIVE LEARNING CONTENT

Ideally, when it comes to learning content the golden rule is: keep it crisp enough to be engaging and complete enough to be effective!

It is mandatory to understand your audience and the dynamics of their environment in order to be able to provide them with learning that is practical and productive. Well-designed and developed content will be accessible and available to enable the learner’s engagement by adapting itself to their consumption habits and able to fit into their busy schedules while creating a holistic learning experience.

Less is More

The longer the piece of content, the higher is the chance of it being unappealing and ineffective. Most studies put the average adult attention span at a maximum of 20 minutes. Over time, we have seen a major shift in how individuals prefer their information presentation: typically focused in 3-5 min short bursts of visual information over lengthy texts. This approach helps provide the learner with the necessary context and relevant information using interactive techniques so that the same level of learning can be imparted.

Relevance is Key

Relevance is the key to developing deeply effective learning content that ties into the expectations from your learners and builds upon them. Understanding and acknowledging this relevance is essential for any eLearning solutions provider as it is at the foundation of the course and must be reiterated throughout the course to keep the learners engaged.

Metacognitive Approach

Metacognition helps learners contextualize and think about the particular subject and see how a particular skill fits into their existing knowledge. This not only develops a specific skill set but also imparts wisdom that learners can apply in an external context. This approach involves pre-analyzing the current state followed by retrospection and reflection of the then-and-now that in turn imparts awareness in a user and helps them actively work on it.

MRCC LEARNING CONTENT SOLUTIONS

The way people consume learning has changed over the years and we, as an eLearning solutions provider, understand that learning is no longer a want but most definitely a need. Our solutions are aimed at personal and professional development by providing learners with deep and enriching learning content that is convenient, personal, and relevant.

GAMIFICATION & SIMULATION

Transform your learner’s learning process with more engaging, interactive, and immersive experiences using gamification and simulations. Simply put, gamification allows the application of game elements such as points, levels, badges, and achievements to create engagement and interest. The Simulation puts learners in a risk-free environment thus enabling them to experience real-life scenarios that contextually exhibit outcomes and consequences. We help elevate the level of learning experience that you can provide to your learners through immersive game strategies.

LEARNING VIDEOS

While images and animations are effective modes of visually depicting something, videos take it to another level and provide a much more engaging experience. When targeted at the right audience, video marketing is one of the most engaging methods to explain any product or service. Here’s how:

    Explainer Videos

  • infog2

    Animated (Character/Infographic) Videos

  • infog3

    Talking-head Videos

  • infog4

    Dialogue-simulated Videos

  • Explainer Videos

  • Explainer videos are great at eliminating the guess work while explaining the usefulness and function of a product or service. Learners understand and retain content better once they have seen or heard someone explain it thus adding to the effectiveness of learning content
  • Animated (Character/Infographic) Videos

  • While still images and characters add to the interactivity of a learning video, the addition of animated characters or illustrative infographics takes it up a notch on the engagement quotient. These techniques help translate complex and content-heavy information in a more visually appealing and interactive manner.
  • Talking-head Videos

  • These videos are typically involving a person (instructor/trainer) talking into the camera. This makes the video appear more personalized as it gives the learner a distinct impression of being addressed-to directly. The usage of backdrops or some visual cues can further enhance the overall experience.
  • Dialogue-simulated Videos

  • These videos are created by imitating an actual conversation that occurs between two or more people that help simulate real-world scenarios for the learners. It helps people in improving customer relations, sales pitches, and overall communication skills.

FACILITATOR-DRIVEN LEARNING

The art of facilitator-driven learning is, as it sounds, facilitating the learning rather than straight-out imparting said content knowledge. In simple words, a facilitator aims to create an active learning environment to match their learner’s style and requirements by enabling active participation and knowledge sharing.

At MRCC, we personalize eLearning by combining in-person teaching with the best aspects of technology-based eLearning to create a holistic learning experience for the learners. This broadens the experience of a learner by making learning readily accessible anytime and anywhere and allows learners to learn at their pace.
Let's find out how!

  • infog1

    Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

  • infog2

    Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)

  • infog3

    Train-the-Trainer (TTT)

  • Instructor-Led Training (ILT)

  • ILT involves the practice of conducting training with an instructor present, either in person or via a webinar, wherein he/she imparts knowledge to the learners about a specific topic and helps them understand it in greater detail. Instructors can opt for a lecture-style teaching or workshop-style training to increase participation and engagement.
  • Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT)

  • This method approaches learning in a simulated location remotely so that it can be accessed across geographies and compatible digital and mobile platforms. It also supports interactions through online polling and online questions and enables efficient tracking and measurement of a learner’s performance
  • Train-the-Trainer (TTT)

  • This type of learning is aimed at training the subject matter experts (SMEs) or potential instructors within an organization who in turn will be conducting various learning and development or training sessions for other learners and employees. The training is not just about what to cover but also how to effectively cover it to optimize return on the training for your learners while fulfilling their learning needs effectively.

LEARNING MODERNIZATION

Learning can transform organizations, and we are in the business of making that happen. An eLearning modernization strategy is essential to keep content relevant and effective while keeping with the technological advancements and new-age learner’s demands. The journey from a legacy platform to mobile-compatible learning is not free of challenges, and we are here to guide you in that journey from the start. We believe that modernized learning should be looked at as a transformational strategy that delivers results by creating a unique and deeply effective experience for your learners.
